About Me
I spent my childhood looking at properties with my dad, learning the art of the deal. We called it “Super Snooping.”His motto was, “Buy that dirt and raise the price!” It’s rumored that he traded truckloads of gravel for fifty cheap lots in Rio Del Mar during the Depression. When I was in high school, in the sixties, he owned ten acres on the bluff above Manresa Beach. Real estate transactions have always been part of my life. In 1977 I decided to try my brain at being A Realtor. My plan was to sell real estate until I figured out what I was going to do when I grew up.Several times I considered other possibilities: nursing, teaching, being an attorney. I’m good at contracts, want people to be well informed and like to help people. Here I am forty years later having fun problem solving for buyers, sellers and investors.
I take pride in making escrows easy for you! I’ve bought, sold, exchanged, remodeled houses and managed rentals. An architecture groupie, in 1995, I built my home which I helped create. It appeared in four national magazines and received an Honorable Mention in Metropolitan Home magazine’s “Home of the Year” competition. My interest in the arts has led to a museum quality collection of work by local artists. Many of my pieces are on display at the downtown Santa Cruz Community Health Center because I’ve run out of wall space at home. You are welcome to visit and view them. Make a donation to the center while you’re there! I believe in contributing to my community and have served on many nonprofit boards including Tandy Beal’s Dance Troupe, Community Bridges, Above the Line and currently Senior Legal Services. I help support Survivors Healing Center, Save Our Shores, Second Harvest Food Bank and several other nonprofits. My purpose is to do what I can to make our world better and to enjoy life in this beautiful place!
